Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30§39M as amended and other applicable statutes.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on March 22, 2017, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Furnish and Install Playground Equipment at Forest Park Memorial Playground. The City is soliciting bids for contractors to furnish and install a “Playbooster” play structure, and a specified wood fiber safety at Forest Park Memorial Playground, located at 200 Tafton Road in Springfield, MA. Estimated cost of the project is $85,000.00.

A Site Visit has been scheduled for 3/9/17 at 10:00 A.M, on-site at Forest Park Memorial Playground. Contact Laura Walsh at (413) 886-5186.

Project Specifications will be available for no charge in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website during normal business hours beginning on March 6, 2017.

Contractor must agree to pay Prevailing Wage rate whenever applicable. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. The City of Springfield REO applies to this project.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by March 15, 2017, 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
