The City of Springfield is soliciting bids for the purchase of five (5) manual automated side loader collection trucks with tandem axle with 31 CY body and One (1) cube van will be used by the Department of Public Works for collection services required for DPW operations. Vehicles shall be the manufacturer’s latest model. The estimated cost for the vehicles is $1,585,000.00


Financing Options
The City is also looking for companies to provide financing for the DPW vehicles. City is seeking financing companies to submit 5 year financing options to the City of Springfield.


The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject and/or all bids and to waive minor irregularities and/or formalities as it deems to be in the best interest of the City. This Invitation for Bids is in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30B. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.

No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 10 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals.
