at which time the bids will be privately opened and logged at the Office of Procurement.

RFP specifications can be requested in person at the Office of Procurement during normal business hours or through the City’s website, www.springfieldcityhall.com, for no charge beginning on 9/13/16.

The City, through its Department of Parks, Buildings and Recreation Mgt. wishes to engage an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist. Work will include but will not be limited to the following: Project Management, training, environmental assessment and threat identification, grant writing and management, compliance, and procurement assistance.

The Term of the contract will be for One year, with two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion. The City anticipates contracting for approximately $100,000.00 annually. Only one person/firm will be awarded a contract.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than 9/22/16, 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered. Answers to questions will be made through numbered addenda issued by the City.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
