at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read in the Department of Purchase Bid Room. Bid specifications and requirements may be obtained at the Department of Purchase on in person or through the City’s website during normal business hours for no charge.

The City of Springfield has approximately 560,000 square feet of irrigated terraces across the City. The City also has approximately 72 acres of ball fields and 10 acres of park land requiring applications. The City’s School property consists of approximately 178 acres. The City is seeking a qualified vendor to perform soil testing, fertilizer and pesticide application and occasional overseeding to City space on an on-call as needed basis, as well as occasional aeration and overseeding.

The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $100,000.00. The term of the contract shall be for One (1) year. The City will retain Two (2) one-year in length renewal options to be used at the City’s sole discretion.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

All questions must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than 2/24/17. 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
