Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30§39M as amended and other applicable statutes.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on July 14, 2016, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Relocation of Leonardo DaVinci Park in Springfield. The City is soliciting bids for contractors to re-install playground equipment in the South End, abutting the Mount Carmel Society. The materials being relocated are being stored on-site. Estimated cost of the project is $85,000.00.

A Site Visit has been scheduled for 6/27/16 at 10:00 A.M, on-site at 22 Morris Street in Springfield. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit. Contact Noelle Owens at (413) 787-6639.

Project Specifications will be available for no charge in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website during normal business hours beginning on June 22, 2016.

Contractor must agree to pay Davis Bacon or Prevailing Wage rate whenever applicable. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. The City of Springfield REO applies to this project.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by July 7, 2016, 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
