Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on June 21, 2016, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Replacement of Central High School Corridor Doors. Contractor will be responsible for the following general scopes of work: Replacement of the hollow metal doors and hardware within the corridors of Central High School.

Detailed plans of the area will be distribute at the site walk and will be available from the email address above. Estimated cost of the project is $100,000.00.

A Site Visit has been scheduled for 6/8/16 at 11:00 A.M., at Central High School in Springfield Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit.

Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning on June 2, 2016 in person or by contacting the Office of Procurement during normal business hours or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by June 9, 2016, 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
