at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement Bid Room.
Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning April 15 in person or by contacting the Office of Procurement during normal business hours or through the City’s website, www.springfieldcityhall.com. This procurement is subject to M.G.L. Chapter 149.
The City of Springfield, through the DPBRM, is soliciting bids for a contractor to perform painting services on approximately 319.35 lineal feet of painting at South Middle School. New building materials must contain 0% asbestos. There will be an optional site visitation at the School ( 32 Margaret Street) on 4/20/16 at 11:00 A.M.
The contract value is estimated to be $35,000.00. All bidders are advised that the City of Springfield encourages the use of minority and women-owned business enterprises (“MWBE”) and expects a good faith effort to comply with the City’s goal of twenty (20%) percent MWBE participation.
All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than April 26, 2016 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
