Bid No. 16-040; Renovations to Samuel Bowles Playground

Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Parks Division

Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30 §39M as amended and other applicable statutes and reflects the changes of Chapter 193 of the Acts of 2004 relative to M.G.L.c.23A &44 and M.G.L. c. 7, and 44N.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on September 3, 2015, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Scope of work includes: Contractor will supply and install a "Playbooster Playstructure" and playground specified/approved wood fiber safety surface at Bowles Park. Estimated cost of the project is $20,000.00. A Site Visit has been scheduled for 8/20/15 @ 11:00 A.M. Samuel Bowles Park is located at 24 Bowles Park, Springfield, MA 01104

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available August 13, 2015 in person at the City of Springfield Office of Procurement during normal business hours, or through the City's website; www.springfieldcityhall.com for no charge.

The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. This project is subject to Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates and MA Prevailing Wage Rates.
