Bid No. 16-033 Replacement of Floor Tiles at Chestnut School

Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Facilities Division

Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes. Contractors must be DCAM certified in the following categories: Flooring.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on October 7, 2015, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

The City of Springfield Massachusetts (the "City") through its Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management - Facilities Division ("Facilities") is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide all materials, equipment, and labor for the installation of various floor coverings to the Chestnut Accelerated Middle School at 355 Plainfield Street, Springfield, MA.

Estimated cost of the project is not to exceed $150, 000.00. Bidders will be required to pay Prevailing Wages or Davis Bacon rates whenever applicable.

Site Visit: Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit scheduled for September 25, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at the Chestnut School, located at 355 Plainfield Street, Springfield, MA.

Bidding Documents will be available for no charge at the Office of Procurement (36 Court Street, Room 307, Springfield, MA 01103) in person during normal business hours or through the City's website: www.springfieldcityhall.com beginning on September 18, 2015.

Al questions must be submitted in writing and received by the Office of Procurement (email: ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com or fax (413) 787-6295) no later than September 30, 2015 before 4:30 P.M. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
