at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement Bid Room.

Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable state procurement and bidding statutes.

The City of Springfield is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide all materials, labor, and equipment to install new sprung flooring for the stage at Central High School Auditorium in Springfield. Work will also include installation of various components, equipment and materials, adjusting lighting positions and other associated labor.

The contract value is estimated to be Thirty Six Thousand Dollars ($36,000.00). All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement at least Seven (7) business days prior to bid opening, or June 18, 2015. Contractors are strongly urged to attend a site visit on June 17, 11:00 A.M., Central High School, 1840 Roosevelt Ave, Springfield, MA 01109. Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available free of charge at the Office of Procurement during normal business hours or through the City's website.

All bidders are advised that the City of Springfield encourages the use of minority and women-owned business enterprises ("MWBE") and expects a good faith effort to comply with the City's goal of twenty (20%) percent MWBE participation. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so. Contractor must pay prevailing wage rate whenever applicable.
