Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30 §39M as amended and other applicable statutes and reflects the changes of Chapter 193 of the Acts of 2004 relative to M.G.L.c.23A &44 and M.G.L. c. 7, and 44N.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on May 20, 2015, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Scope of work includes: demolition and removal of existing park amenities, installation of playground structures, baseball diamond and associated structures, turf-grass and lawn areas, concrete sidewalks and basketball courts, and installation of utility connections. Estimated cost of the project is $525,000.00. A Site Visit has been scheduled for 5/12/15 @ 11:00 A.M., South East corner of Seymour and Plum Streets, Springfield MA. Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available May 6, 2015 at www.BidDocsOnline.com (may be viewed electronically and hardcopy requested).

There is a refundable plan deposit of $50.00 per set for each project (maximum of 2 sets) payable to BidDocsOnline Inc. Deposits must be electronically paid or must be a certified or cashiers check.

The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. This project is subject to Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates and MA Prevailing Wage Rates.
