Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30 §39.Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on October 9, 2014, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

The City of Springfield is seeking bids for the construction of a spray park area at Balliet Park located on the south east corner of Seymour and Plum Streets. The work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of existing amenities and the installation of a spray park, concrete sidewalks and curbing, and utility connections. Estimated cost of the project is Two Hundred Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($200,000.00). Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit scheduled for September 29, 2014 at 9:00 A.M. Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available September 25, 2014 at www.BidDocsOnline.com (may be viewed electronically and hardcopy requested).

Bidders will be required to pay prevailing wages whenever applicable. Question must be submitted in writing to the City within Seven (7) days of the bid opening, or October 2, 2014 before 4:30 P.M. in order to be answered. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
