The City of Springfield, Massachusetts, through the Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management, Facilities Division seeks to award a contract to up to three (3) lowest responsive and responsible bidders for a wide range of heating, ventilation and air conditioning supplies. The awarded contract(s) will include repair and replacement parts, as well as new installation items and specialty items. The purpose of this IFB is to meet the heating, ventilation and air conditioning supply needs of all City of Springfield entities. The City is seeking vendors that can meet our needs and are accessible for same or next day deliveries, also, will accommodate walk-in services from our tradespersons. Emergencies will occur; vendors will be expected to respond to our needs. Bids are due on September 9, 2014 2:00 P.M. and will be publicly opened at that time.
Estimated value of the Contract is $500,000.00/year. The initial term of the contract will be for one year, but the City will retain two (2) one-year renewal options to be exercised at its sole discretion.
The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
