The City of Springfield Massachusetts (the "City") through its Department of Public Works ("DPW") is seeking bids from a qualified vendor to supply replacement parts for an Aeroquip Crimp Machine, including cutting edges, hydraulic hoses and fittings. All fittings and hoses must be Aeroquip. The City will not accept any substitutions. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

The City intends to award a contract to the most responsive bidder that offers the lowest overall total for the products specified. The value of the contract is estimated not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($100,000.00). The initial terms of this agreement will be for one year with an option to renew, at the City's discretion, for two additional one-year periods.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement at least Seven (7) business days prior to bid opening. To request a copy of the bid sepcifications or to ask questions, please submit in writing and send to the following:

Answers to bidder questions and other changes to the IFB, Including Addenda documents will be emailed to all known bidders that have taken out documents with the Office of Procurement in the form of addenda.



Bids must be received in the Office of Procurement on or before May 29, 2014, by 2:00 p.m. EST. All information in the proposal should be organized and presented as directed below. Any Bids received after the date and time specified will not be accepted, read, or evaluated.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
