14-199 - Purchase of (2)VRTEX 360 and (1) VRTEX Mobil Virtual Reality Arc Welding Trainer

Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning Monday March 17, 2014 at 9:00 A.M at the Office of Procurement, 36 Court Street, Room 307, Springfield, MA 01103,during normal business days, Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM.

The City of Springfield Massachusetts through its Public Schools is seeking bids to purchase (2) VRTEX 360 and (1) VRTEX Mobile Virtual Reality Arc Welding Trainer for their Roger L. Putnam Vocational Technical Academy School. The virtual reality welding trainer, VRTEX 360 is a stand-alone system that uses virtual reality technology to simulate the welding processes for training purposes.

Estimated cost: $153,000.00.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject and/or all bids and to waive minor irregularities and/or formalities as it deems to be in the best interest of the City.

This Invitation for Bids is in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30B.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than March 24, 2014 by 4:00 P.M.
