14-058 - Property Insurance for Various School Buildings

The City of Springfield is seeking a qualified firm to provide property insurance to the City of Springfield and Springfield Public Schools to comply with FEMA and Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) regulations.

All agents/brokers and insurers involved must be authorized and/or licensed to operate in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Commercial insurers must have a rating in the current edition of Best\\\'s Insurance Reports (Property/Liability Edition) of at least \\\"A+\\\" or better.

Unless otherwise specified, the effective date of the coverage will be October 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Policies shall be proposed for one-year term. Options to renew for two addition one (1) year period(s), if available as to appropriation of City funds each term, will be considered.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than Noon on September 4, 2013.

Bids will be available at the office of Procurement, 36 Court Street Room 307, Springfield MA 01103. Bids will be sent by email by request to lstabilo@springfieldcityhall.com
