The City of Springfield is requesting proposals for the redevelopment of E.S. Oakland Street Fire Station in the Forest Park Section of Springfield, MA. Proposals will be received until 2:00PM on July 31, 2013 at the following address:

Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 9:00AM: Online at www.comm-pass.com by selecting the Solicitation tab and using the Browse All Open Entity (City of Springfield) option at any time 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

This is a City owned building and was previously a fire station. Built in 1894 the building sits on the corner of Oakland Street and Dickinson Street. The building is 2 stories and the total area of the building is approximately 7,340 square feet. E.S. Oakland Street, parcel #09210-0132, lot size 13,948 square feet, Zoned Business A. The assessed value for this property is $271,300.

For proposers seeking to propose housing use, a zoning change will be required. There is currently on-site parking. The property is being sold "as is" and the City makes no representations regarding the environmental and/or physical condition of the properties and will require the buyer to assume responsibility for these conditions. Prosepective developers should undertake their own reviews and reach their own conclusions concerning zoning, title and survey matters, required approvals, physcial conditions, environmental conditions, reuse potential, utility services and development, leasehold, legal and other considerations. Proposers are responsible for making their own determination of existing conditions.

On July 11, 2013, a site walk will take place from 10AM-11AM and on July 18, 2013 from 3PM-4PM.
