SPG 13-032 - Virtual Welding Equipment and Software

The Springfield Public Schools is seeking bids to purchase a Lincoln Electric VRTEX® 360, virtual reality arc welding system for their Roger L. Putnam Vocational Technical Academy School. The Lincoln Electric virtual reality arc welding system, the VRTEXTM 360 is a stand-alone system that uses virtual reality technology to simulate the welding processes for training purposes.

Estimated cost: $57,250.00.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject and/or all bids and to waive minor irregularities and/or formalities as it deems to be in the best interest of the City.

This Invitation for Bids is in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30B.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.
