13-173 - Former Hotel Charles Site Soil Excavation

The conditions of emplyoment and wage rates, as set forth by the Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety shall prevail in the execution of the work under this contract. Estimated cost of the project: $300,000.00.

Project Scope: Excavation and off-site disposal of approximately 3,000 cubic yards of petroleum-impacted soil. The work will be conducted in accordance with a Release Abatement Measure Plan under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than October 24, 2012 by 400 P.M.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
