13-010 - Furnish, Deliver and Plant Trees for City of Springfield Parks Department

Scope of Services

A. The scope of this contract will include a combination of tree planting on public and private property. Planting on public property is defined as any tree planted on municipal property, within the roadway, or up to 20 ft. beyond the public way as defined by Massachusetts General Laws Chapter #87, Section #7.

B. These specifications, including drawings and plant materials lists, apply to those items necessary and incidental to the execution and completion of planting as indicated herein.

C. All labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary for the execution of the work shall be provided for by the Contractor at no additional cost to the City of Springfield.

D. Reasonable care shall be exercised during excavation, planting, filling, grading, and cleanup, to features, improvements, structures, and utilities.
