12-351 - RFP: Lease of Office and Classroom Space for Adult Education Center

The City, through its School Department invites proposals to lease office and classroom space for use by the Springfield Public Schools Adult Education program. This bid is subject to M.G.L. c. 30B. A view of the current space may be arranged by contacting Armando Feliciano at (413) 787-7210.
Amount of Space: Approximately 3,500 square feet of net usable area (n.u.a.), including offices, classroom space and storage space. Facility must have a minimum of 3,500 square feet and the Springfield public schools will not pay for any area over 3,800 square feet. Building must be located in the City of Springfield.
Type of space:
1. subdivided office space, approximately eight hundred (800) square feet
2. divided classroom space in a minimum of eight (8) classrooms. No minimum square footage required per room.
Basic term of lease: One (1) year with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than April 20, 2012 by close of business.
The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
