12-169 - Lease/Financing of Vehicles for the Department of Public Works

End date: Wednesday October 26, 2011 at 2 p.m.

Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge through two channels beginning October 12, 2011 at 9:00 A.M.

1. Online at www.comm-pass.com by selecting the Solicitation tab and using the Browse All Open by Entity (City of Springfield) option at any time 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

2. In person at the Office of Procurement, 36 Court Street, Room 405, Springfield, MA 01103 during normal business days, Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Please refer to the bid number and the opening date when inquiring. This bid is subject to M.G.L. c. 30B.

Vehicles List:
(4) Dump Trucks with Plows, (2) Rear Loader Refuse Trucks, (6) Four Wheel drive pick-up trucks with plows, (1) Loader/Backhoe, (4) Tractors with attachments and (1) Skid Steer Loader. Lease period up to three (3) years. See bid for detailed specifications.

A 5% Certified Check, Letter of Credit or Bond, payable to the City of Springfield, must accompany each bid. A 100% Performance Bond shall be required from successful bidder. Surety bonds will only be accepted from Surety Companies licensed by the Division of Insurance to Transact Business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject and/or all bids and to waive minor irregularities and/or formalities as it deems to be in the best interest of the City.

This Invitation for Bids is in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30B.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.
