11-301 - Services: Furnish, Deliver & Plant Trees for the Parks Dept.

Hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed for a payment of $25.00 (non-refundable). Payment shall be electronic (online) or via certified check payable to BidDocs ONLINE Inc. Checks are to be mailed to BidDocs ONLINE Inc., P.O. Box 51, Groton, MA 01450

The City of Springfield Parks Department is requesting bids from qualified companies to supply personnel, equipment and trees as specified and to plant trees, primarily on tree belts, as required by the City Forester.
All plant material shall conform to American Standards of Nursery Stock.

Bidder must have on site staff with one of the following industry certifications: Massachusetts Certified Arborist;
International Society of Arboriculture Certification or Massachusetts Certified Horticulturist.

Bid is for one-year price agreement with two (2) one-year options to renew. Estimated annual cost is $120,000.00.
The bid is governed by Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) C.30 sec. 39 m and other Statutes.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement at least seven business days prior to bid opening.

The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Div. Of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage Rates apply.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
