10-450 - Request for Quote for Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Services

Request for Quote from qualified, experienced Materials Testing companies for services as the City's independent testing company for the Putnam Vocational Technical High School building project per Bid # 10-450.

The selected firm will be responsible for testing services including:
a. Soils
b. Concrete
c. Structural steel, including reinforcing steel, metal decking and joist.
d. Masonry, mortar & grout
e. Bituminous concrete
g. Roofing
f. Engineering service as required

The Consultant will meet with the City of Springfield, its Owner's Project Manager, Architect and Construction Manager to develop an understanding of the project, schedule and inspection staffing needs.

Applicants must list any sub-consultants to be included as part of their bid.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
