10-375 - RFP: Relocation Advisory Services

In accordance with MGL Chapter 30B, the City of Springfield's Office of Procurement, on behalf of the Springfield Redevelopment Authority (hereafter "SRA") invites proposals from qualified individuals, firms, entities and/or joint ventures (hereafter "Consultants") to develop a detailed relocation plan and provide relocation advisory services, which services will require designation as a Relocation Advisory Agency, for the herein described project. The aforementioned services are being requested in connection with the implementation of the South End Urban Renewal Plan, Amendment # 8 (hereafter "SEURP #8) which will involve the acquisition and demolition of nine (9) single and/or two to three family homes comprised of approximately nineteen (19) units of housing, for the expansion of the Emerson Wight Park.. The SEURP #8 was approved by the Department of Housing and Community Development (hereafter "DHCD"), on November 20, 2009.

• Please note that in order to provide these services the consultant will have to be designated as a Relocation Advisory Agency by the Department of Housing and Community Development's Bureau of Relocation per MGL Chapter 79A, Section 2 and 760 CMR Part 27.02.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

In order to provide prompt answers to questions, the RFP Committee requests that all proposers submit written questions seven (7) days prior to the RFP response deadline. Accordingly, questions must be received in writing only at the City of Springfield, Department of Purchase not later than February 17, 2010 Questions may be faxed or mailed.
