10-250 - Purchase One (1) Motor Fuel Calibration Truck

It is the intent of this bid to describe a complete cab, chassis, drive train and body specifically designed for weights and measures annual motor fuel dispenser inspections. The City is seeking a complete vehicle that will require low maintenance. The vehicle will be durable enough to withstand the varying weather conditions that occur in New England.

The completed cab & chassis and components to be furnished under this contract will be delivered F.O.B. to the Weights & Measures Department, 70 Tapley Street, Springfield, MA, 01104. Contact Mr. Edward Fallon @ 413-787- 6078 to make delivery arrangements.

Estimated cost of the unit is $119,000.00. A 100% Performance bond shall be required form the successful bidder.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
