10-226 - RFP: For A Credit Recovery Program

The City of Springfield School Committee wishes to obtain the services of a qualified contractor to design and/or customize and implement a credit recovery/remediation/intervention/acceleration/state assessment preparation program to enable students to recover/gain academic credit for courses which are required for promotion and/ or graduation.

The program must contain a rigorous coursework, aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and/or National Standards, for grades 9-12. The Credit Recovery Program must clearly align with all appropriate district plans and policies, including but not limited to the Pupil Progression Plan and all content area curricula.

The successful vendor must assign a Project Manager to work with the district throughout all phases of the system's design/customization, implementation, training, and support. The estimated cost is $305,000.00 a year with a one year option to renew.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Department of Purchase at least seven business days prior to bid opening.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
