90 - Services: Boiler Chemical Treatment

End date: Wednesday October 1, 2008 at 2 p.m.

The purpose of this IFB is to establish a boiler chemical treatment supply & service contract for the Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management - Facilities Division. The awarded contract will include the maintenance of a comprehensive chemical water treatment program for the Low Pressure Steam Boilers and Condensate Systems and Closed Hot Water Heating Systems, to include an oxygen scavenger, alkalinity builder and phosphate control for low pressure systems and a corrosion and scale inhibitor for the hot water systems.

The term of any contract resulting from this IFB shall be for up to one year plus two additional options to renew, not to exceed twelve (12) months each.

Questions regarding the IFB may also be submitted in writing to the Purchase Department. In order to provide prompt answers to questions, the CPO requests that all Proposers submit written questions seven days prior to the IFB response deadline. Accordingly, questions must be received in writing only at the City of Springfield's, Department of Purchase on September 22, 2008 by 4:00 P.M. Questions may be faxed or mailed.
