477 - RFP: Construction Management Services for Armory Street Rehabilitation

End date: Friday June 19, 2009 at 2 p.m.

The City seeks to retain an Engineer to provide construction management services for said project.

The City has designed roadway rehabilitation and signal reconstruction for Armory Street. The project corridor starts at the right-of-way line of I-291, ending at the intersection of Armory Street/Federal Street. Included in this corridor are four intersections (three of which are signalized), two bridge structures over existing CSX Railroad, and approximately 3,000 feet of roadway surface.

The City of Springfield intends to make improvements to the roadway, including rebuilding of the pavement section, limited replacement/resetting of existing curbing, improvements to handicapped accessibility, limited sidewalk replacement and traffic signal upgrades to meet current standards.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Department of Purchase business no later than May 3, 2009 by 4:00 P.M.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
