Demolition or deconstruction of each specified building plus any other building(s) on the same premises. The specified building addresses: 62 Rear Bay Street; 43-45 Genesee Street;73-75 Marble Street; 42 Montmorenci Street; 485 Union Street; 59-67 Walnut Street;382-384 White Street

All sites will be open and available for inspection on November 12, 2008 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Bidders may contact Tina Quagliato, Office of Housing, at (413) 787-6500.
All questions regarding the specifications of this request or of the process of this procurement shall be addressed, in writing to the Chief Procurement Officer and received by the close of business on November 19, 2008. Facsimile communications are acceptable.

The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids if it be in the public interest to do so.

Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended, and other applicable statutes. Estimated cost of project is Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand ($250,000.00) Dollars.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
