60 - PA: Plow Repair Parts

End date: Tuesday October 9, 2007 at 2 p.m.

The City of Springfield is seeking competitive bids for supplying plow repair parts. Vendor must pickup and deliver to DPW, 70 Tapley Street, Springfield, MA 01104.

The estimated cost is $5,000.00 per year. This price agreement has an option to renew for two additional one year terms.

The City reserves the right to request same day delivery in the case of an emergency. Awarded vendors shall agree to make a "good faith" effort to supply products when same-day delivery is requested.

All products delivered to the City of Springfield will be new and in unopened cases or boxes, or in a condition acceptable to the use/purchaser. The only exception to this is in the case of re-manufactured parts, which must be clearly identified and the user/purchaser has full knowledge that the part is not new. Unauthorized substitutions are not acceptable. Substitution of one product for the product ordered shall require the approval of the ordering agency.

Vendor must conduct a fleet survey within 30 days after bid is awarded and make recommendations on what to stock based on high usage.

Cost of repair parts will be at below Jobber (Blue)price.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
