226 - Leasing of Office Space and Other Spaces for Springfield Department of Health and Human Services

The City of Springfield's Health and Human Services Department is looking to Lease Office Space and other spaces such as conference rooms, clinic area, break room with kitchenette, and storage area.

The location must be within the City of Springfield and ¼ mile to City Hall. Space to be approximately 10,022 square feet of net usable area (NUA). Approximately 1000 square feet of this space will house the Smith Clinic. Rental fee not to exceed $151,472.00 annually. Occupancy date must be on or about April 1st, 2008.


A non-refundable deposit of $10.00 in the form of a certified or bank check payable to the "City of Springfield, MA" is required for bid documents. All inquiries should reference the bid number and the opening date.

A pre-bid conference will be conducted at the Health and Human Services conference room, 95 State Street, Suite 201, Springfield MA 01103 on March 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Contact Helen Caulton, Director at 413-787-6736.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Department of Purchase no later than March 13, 2008 by close of business.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 14 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
