034 - PA: Sand for Winter Sanding
End date: Friday September 14, 2007 at 2 p.m.The City of Springfield Department of Public Works is going out to bid for Sand for Winter Sanding.
Winter sanding sand shall be free from loam or any foreign substance and shall consist of clean, hard, sharp, durable grains graded from coarse to fine.
Agreement period: November 1, 2007 - October 31, 2008. Estimated quantity is 5,000 tons. Quantity is approximate only, the City reserves the right to increase or decrease as best suits its needs. Successful bidder must be capable of delivering a minimum of 500 tons in an 8 hour day. The estimated cost is $35,000.00
All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Department of Purchase at least seven business days prior to bid opening.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.
The Deputy Purchasing Agent reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
