86 - (1) Asphalt Distributor

The City of Springfield Department of Public Works is going out to bid for one(1) Asphalt Distributor. The unit will be used by the Department for paving operations consisting of "patching" various size cuts.

Each unit shall be the manufacturer's latest model. The unit shall be furnished and delivered new, complete and ready for use.

The manufacturer of this equipment shall have been connected with the manufacture of this type of equipment for at least (5) years. He shall have a distributor organization with suitable service and repair parts facillity within a 10 mile radius of Springfield, MA.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
