47 - Services: Disposal of Bulk Waste

The Solid Waste Division of the Department of Public Works is seeking bids for the disposal of bulk waste. In the past twelve (12) months the City collected approximately 645 tons of bulky waste discarded by the residents each year. The City is seeking bids from Contractors to provide disposal services for this bulky waste. The length of the service agreement will be one (1) year from October 1, 2006 - September 30, 2007. The length of the service agreement may be renewed for two additional one year periods at the sole option of the City. Estimated cost of the agreement is $58,000.00 per year.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Department of Purchase no later than August 21, 2006 by 4:00 P.M.
