298 - PA:Containerized Rubbish Removal Services at Condominium Complexes and Various Other Locations

The City of Springfield is seeking bids from qualified and experienced firms for containerized solid waste and recycling collection and disposal services for certain condominium complexes in the City.

A bid bond or certified check in the amount of $5,000.00 must accompany each proposal.

A Performance Bond in the amount of $10,000.00 will be required of the successful Proposer.

All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of General Laws, (Per. Ed.) Chapter 149, Sections 44A-44H, inclusive as amended.

Estimated cost for services: $100,000.00

No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the date of opening of bid.

All bidders are advised that the City of Springfield encourages the use of Minority and Women owned Business and a good faith effort to comply with the City's goal of twenty percent (20%) MWBE participation.

The City of Springfield reserves the right to reject any and all bids in part or total.

All questions regarding the specifications of this request or of the process of this procurement shall be addressed, in writing, to the Chief Procurement Officer no later than 4:00 pm on May 11, 2007. Facsimile communications are acceptable.
