223 - Portable Wireless Vehicle Lift

End date: Friday February 9, 2007 at 2 p.m.

The City of Springfield Public Works Department is requesting bids for a Portable Wireless Vehicle Lift. The unit specified herein shall be new and show the latest models now in production by the manufacturer.

The bidder shall list on the "Deviation Sheet" any variations from, or exceptions to, the conditions and specifications of this bid. Failure to list deviations may be cause to reject bid.

The manufacturer of this equipment shall have been connected with the manufacture of this type of equipment for at least (5) years. He shall have a distributor organization with suitable services and repair parts facility within a 75 mile radius of Springfield, MA. One complete set of parts and service/repair manuals shall be provided along with one operator's manual per unit.

Estimated cost is $38,900.00.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
