201 - Services: Demolition of Various Properties

Demolition or deconstruction of each specified building plus any other building(s) on the same premises. The specified building addresses: 141-147 Chestnut Street; 1101 Dwight Street & 14 Grosvenor Street; 121-123 Greene Street; 11 Grosvenor Street & 1061 Dwight Street; 20-28 Hancock Street; 2-8 ½ Parker Street & 513-515 Main Street; 57-59 Quebec Street; 18-20 Washburn Street. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended, and other applicable statutes. Estimated cost of project is Six Hundred, Thirty Two Thousand ($632,000.00) Dollars.

Plans and specifications are available weekdays, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. A non-refundable deposit of $10.00 in the form of a certified or bank check to the order of "The City of Springfield, MA" is required. All inquiries should reference the bid number and the opening dates.


Site Visit
Sites will be open and available for inspection on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Bidders may contact Mr. Carl Dietz, Office of Housing and Neighborhood Services, at 413-787-6500.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
