178 - Price Agreement for Outdoor Adventure Classes
End date: Wednesday December 13, 2006 at 2 p.m.The City of Springfield is seeking to solicit bids from qualified vendors for the Instruction of Adventure Activities and Outdoor Pursuits. The Springfield School
Department has been awarded a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Education.
The grant is being administered and managed by the Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management. The grant's purpose is to offer students in the district an opportunity to participate in out-of-school time activities that reinforce theories and concepts learned during the school day. The Department fully expects said activities to have a positive impact on the student's academic achievement and MCAS scores. Currently and after-school, evening, weekend and summer program, and MCAS prep components are offered.
Period of Agreement: January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007. Estimated total cost for services is $35,000.00. The contract will be for a period of one year with the additional two (2) yearly renewals at the sole option of the City, upon the Mayor's approval and appropriation of funds.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.
The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
