11 - PA: Saw Cutting of Bituminous Concrete (Various Lengths and Depths)

The City of Springfield Department of Public Works is going out to bid for Saw Cutting of Bituminous Concrete.

A 5% certified check, letter of credit or bond, payable to the City of Springfield, must accompany each bid. A 50% performance bond, shall be required from successful bidder. A letter of credit will be considered from successful bidder in lieu of bonds. Surety bonds will only be accepted by surety companies licensed by the division of insurance to transact business in the Commonwealth of Massachusettes.

Vendor should be available to perform the saw cuts within 24 hours of notification. Arranging for extra duty police officers will be the responsibility of the vendor and that cost will be reimbursed at the existing rate established by the Police Commisiion. All other trafice control, labor and materials are considered to be included in the bid price.

Estimated bid price $ 5,000.00 a year. This price agreement has an option to renew for two additional one-year terms.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
