284 - RFP: Redevelopment of 14-16 Buckingham Street

The City of Springfield is requesting proposals for the redevelopment of 14-16 Buckingham Street in the McKnight Local Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The property is a vacant, wood frame, three-story, Colonial Revival style mansion constructed circa 1888 on a 7,095 square foot lot. The City will entertain all offers. The City is most interested in proposals which will renovate this house and restore to its appearance in 1940. The City will consider a wide range of reuses consistent with uses allowable in Business A zone. The City is most interested in achieving owner-occupancy, including condominiums. Commercial, institutional or mixed uses will be considered.
