at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read in the Department of Purchase Bid Room.

Bid and all specifications and requirements may be obtained at the Department of Purchase on April 3, 2006.

The City of Springfield is currently soliciting bids on the following items for Veteran’s and Franconia Golf Courses: fertilizer, pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, water soluble fertilizers, seed and miscellaneous golf supplies. Vendors may bid on any number of products. Estimated yearly amounts are based on previous purchasing information. Estimated cost is $60,000.00 per golf course with option to renew for two (2) additional years. Price Agreement Period: June 1, 2006 – May 31, 2007.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
