The City of Springfield, in collaboration with the DOJ Settlement Agreement, has issued new policies in accordance with standards set forth by Massachusetts General Law, the Municipal Police Training CouncilMassachusetts Police Accreditation Commission, and the Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) Commission.

The following Internal Investigation Unit (IIU) policy and manual were finalized and published on May 7, 2024.

The following five policies were finalized and published on February 1, 2023.
