No Rubbish Collection On July 4th Holiday

SPRINGFIELD’S DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS REMINDS RESIDENTS THERE WILL BE NO RUBBISH COLLECTION ON JULY 4TH HOLIDAY

July 2, 2012 – The Department of Public Works reminds Springfield residents who have municipal trash collection on Wednesdays that there will be no collection service on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, due to the Holiday.  

Collection of rubbish will take place on Saturday, July 7, 2012, for residents with Wednesday rubbish collection.  Residents who have recycling collection service on July 4th should also place out their recyclables and yard waste on Saturday, July 7th.  

Items should be placed out for collection no later than 6:30 a.m., on the day of collection.
