Bilingual Poll Workers Needed

The Springfield Election Commission Needs You!

We need persons who are fluent in English and Spanish to serve as poll officials to assist voters in the 2010 Elections.

Poll workers receive $90.00 for the day.

Call 413-787-6187 if you are interested. Or download the Pollworker application and mail (DO NOT FAX) the application to the Election office.

We are committed to having bilingual poll officials available to help Springfield voters on election day, but cannot do it without your help.

Absentee Ballots are Now Available

Absentee ballots are now available in the Election Commission. There are a few ways to obtain the ballots:

  1. You may fill out your application and then cast your ballot in the Election Office; this would be most useful for voters that may be out of the City on Election Day.

    OR
  1. You can call the Election Commission and request that an absentee ballot application be sent to you. You would fill the application out when you receive it. Mail it back to the Election Commission and upon receipt they will send you the ballot. When you receive the ballot you would mark the ballot with a #2 pencil and then mail it back to the Office in the envelopes provided.

2010 City Census

If you have not reponded to the City of Springfield's Annual City Census please complete the form online and submit it by email or contact the Elections office.  The City Census is required by state law and if the residents of Springfield are undercounted the City and its residents could stand to lose valuable state and federal funding. Please call the Elections office if you have any questions regarding the Census.
