Mayor Sarno Issues Statement on Holocaust Remembrance Day

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno shares a statement in recognition of Holocaust Remembrance Day. Holocaust Remembrance Day corresponds to the 27th day of Nisan on the Hebrew calendar. It marks the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno states, “As we approach Yom Hashoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day, coming up on May 6th this year, it is so important that we always remember and never forget our world’s history so that days and events such as the Holocaust never happen again and ensure that acts of antisemitism will not be tolerated. Today, we remember all the lives lost in the Holocaust, as well as the survivors and their families. As a proud member of the Mayors United Against Antisemitism, I am proud to stand in solidarity with our Jewish community, not only on Holocaust Remembrance Day, but each and every day. Good health and God Bless.”
