20-023 - Demolition, Removal & Site Work at 462 Central Street and 468 Walnut Street

End date: Thursday August 15, 2019 at 2 p.m.

Bidders can request a bid package starting on July 31, 2019 at the City’s website on the Procurement Department page at www.springfieldcityhall.com at no charge; hard copies of bid package may be obtained at the Office of Procurement between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of $10.00 in the form of a certified treasurer’s or cashier’s check payable to the City of Springfield.


Demolition services at 462 Central Street and 468 Walnut Street. The work will consist of removal of hazardous materials, building demolition and utility disconnects and site work as designated. All work shall be performed by Massachusetts licensed Contractors in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
No interpretations of the meaning of the specifications and bid package will be made by any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation shall be in writing, addressed to Lauren Stabilo, Chief Procurement Officer, 36 Court Street, Room 307, Springfield, MA 01103, Email: lstabilo@springfieldcityhall.com., FAX (413)787-6295, to be given consideration, must be received at least seven (7) days (August 8, 2019 at close of business) prior to the date fixed for opening of the bids.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject any or all responses, if in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
