at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning July 8, 2019, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30B and other procurement statutes.
The City is seeking a vendor that can meet the City’s needs and are accessible to supply Prisoners Two (2) meals (Breakfast and Dinner) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This includes all Holidays. Prisoners are to receive Three (3) meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) only on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays that fall on Saturday and Sunday.
The City intends to award to One (1) potential contract to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The estimated value of the contract shall not exceed $40,000.00 per year. The initial term of this contract will be for One (1) year, but will include Two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion.
All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement by July 15, 2019 at 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
