Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Chief of Staff Bill Baker met with Lisa Katz, Chief Government Affairs Officer for the Combat Antisemitism Movement, who also served as a former councilwoman and mayor of New Castle, New York.
Mayor Sarno states, “It was great to meet with Lisa Katz, who is a former Mayor herself, once a Mayor, always the heart of a Mayor. After her tenure as mayor of New Castle, New York, Ms. Katz now serves as Chief Government Affairs Officer for the Combat Antisemitism Movement. As a member of Mayors United Against Antisemitism, and I am proud to stand in solidarity with our Jewish community. Today, I shared a proclamation with Ms. Katz ahead of October 7th, which will be known as ‘A Day of Remembrance’ here in the City of Springfield.”
