The City of Springfield Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management (PBRM) has announced that the Swan Boats at Forest Park will be closed for the day on Saturday, July 18, 2026 due to potential inclement weather. There is a high chance of showers and thunderstorms predicted for most of Saturday afternoon. The Swan Boats will be back open as usual on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
Swan Boat rentals are available at Forest Park’s Porter Lake on Saturdays and Sundays starting May 31st through the end of September. They rentals are open from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with the Last Rental at 5:30 PM.
